A few things I’ve learned the hard way you might find useful.

consistency over intensity

It relates back to Simon Sinek, and his comments around fitness, and getting in shape.  It’s simply this; if you work out, and eat right, no matter what shape you are in when you start, eventually, you will get in shape.
I don’t know when it will happen.  I do know it won’t be next week, or even this month, but eventually, you will start to see a change.
Eventually, you will get fit, and eventually you will see the results you’re working so hard for.
That is the result of consistency, or discipline of action.
Having goals is important, but doing the work to get there is even more important.
If you start down the road, and you consistently put in the work, all the milestones you want to achieve will eventually come to pass.
You just have to take that next step every day and you will get there.
