Everything Will Change

Sometimes, it seems like you’re getting nowhere.

You work, and you work, and you work, but nothing significant happens.

You believe in your heart that if you continue doing what you’re doing, eventually things will change. But there are other people calling you crazy.

There are other people who have gone down that path before and it didn’t work out for them, so they are trying to spare you the journey.

It seems like their intentions are good (for the most part), but all they’re doing is making it harder for you.

What they don’t realize is they didn’t get quite far enough to get to the moment of change, and they gave up, and gave in, before they got to that key moment where all the effort paid off.

They will look at you with pity, and sympathy, and shake their heads at your efforts.

And yet you know deep down inside the moment exists in your future when everything will be worth it, and things will change for the better.

You also know it won’t be just because of your efforts on that one day.

It will be the thousands of hours and the dues you paid in the past that will finally accumulate enough for you to have you break through, break free, and move forward.

This is because there is something called a tipping point.

Those moments when the straw broke the camel’s back.

Those moments where the temperature goes from below freezing, to above freezing, and the ice starts to melt.

The moments that cause a chain reaction that moves things forward.

The hardest part about those moments is the time before that tipping point. The calm before the storm. The darkness before dawn. The times when you have plateaued, and nothing seems to change no matter how hard you push.

You just have to keep going, keep after it, and one day, everything will change… for the better.
