Good times, create weak people.  Weak people, create bad times.  Bad times, create strong people.  Strong people, create good times.

This, like the seasons on the calendar, are just the facts of life.

When you look at your lifeline, it is full of ups and downs, yet most people when they look at the future, try to predict some smooth path off into the distance.

That’s just not realistic.

What is it about your past, that makes you think this about your future?

What on your path was smooth, uneventful, and exactly as you planned it?  Nothing.

So why on earth would your future be this way?

Even if you planned it out, you have to realize that the future will be full of ups and downs, or your not really living to your fullest.  You’re not really working to become the best version of you possible.  You’re not really participating in life, you’re spectating.

If you’re on the field, covered in dust, bloodied from battle with sweat in your eyes, you are truly living.  And there is nothing smooth about that.

But man, is giving your all worth it.

Because after all, what are you saving yourself for?  Tomorrow?

The end of the day to softly fade into the night without a sound or a fight?

If that’s the way you want to live, OK.  I get it.

That is not the choice I make.

I will look back at my life and know that I made it, and gave it my all.
