What happens in the world is interpreted through a filter for everyone.
Your past experience creates a veil through which you view things and you probably don’t even realize it.
You might have learned bias from your parents.
You might have learned fear based on a past event.
You might get 1000 compliments, and 1 criticism, and you only hear the negative.
You might have particular goals you’re driving towards, and the brain filters out everything except for what you are focusing on.
These filters impact your interpretation of what happens to you, for you, and because of you.
So long as you can step back and get clarity around what really happened, and what you really had to do with it, you’ll be much better off.
So check your filters.
