start with loyalty
I am grateful for the ability to relate one idea, and lay it over another. I am also grateful to be able to build on an idea, and take it to the next step. Let me give you an example.
This morning I was watching the ‘start with why’ TED talk given by Simon Sinek. As I was watching, what came into my brain was the marketing funnel. He talked about how Apple was communicating their ‘why’, ‘how’ and ‘what’, and I suddenly realized, if you add in ‘who’ as an outer ring to the golden circle, you can line up the messaging to the marketing funnel.
- The Who is Awareness.
- The What is Consideration.
- The How is Conversion.
- The Why is Loyalty.
If your goal is to make customers loyal, start with why. Market with why.
I am also grateful to build on Warren’s idea of life transformation, and building on that too. He says to transform your life, you must have:
- Clarity of vision
- Certainty of intent
- Power of values.
- I would add: Discipline of action.
This is because your vision can be clear, your intent can be good, your values aligned, but if you don’t do anything about it, all is for naught.
