The fact that day after day, week after week, year after year, the earth keeps spinning, and every day there is a sunrise.

There will be one long after I’m gone, and the blink of an eye that I’m here, it’s difficult to have an impact.  It’s difficult to be remembered.

Even the greatest of us will be forgotten as new greats emerge.  And that’s OK.  That’s part of evolution.

The fastest dinosaur is gone, and has been for millions of years.  These animals evolved into huge beasts, that roamed the earth, and dominated for millions of years while our ancestors hid in the brush.  Hoping not to get eaten.

Then, through many mutations, permutations, and flaws, our ancestors started to evolve.

Started to become more, and started to cooperate.  This cooperation enabled us to do more, be more, become more.

And with this, we are now able to change the world.  It’s pretty amazing all the progress we see.  It’s pretty amazing the paths we go down.

It’s pretty amazing all the things we get to see and do, and with it, the ability to sit and enjoy a sunrise.

It’s taken millions of years to get to this point, and I’m grateful to be the one to enjoy it.
